Lebanon Valley College has announced its Dean's List recipients for the fall 2014 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Lebanon Valley College is pleased to announce its exclusive and inaugural cohort of students accepted through the new Early Decision admission program at The Valley. Applying through the Early Decision program, these students have expressed their sincerest intent to enroll and embrace LVC's rigorous and engaging experience.

The Class of 2018 has enrolled at Alvernia University, beginning this fall semester.

Lebanon Valley College has selected 60 students to serve as Valley Ambassadors. Valley Ambassadors tour prospective students and their families through LVC, where they have the opportunity to see the academic quad, a typical classroom, a dorm room, and the athletic fields, while providing knowledge of The Valley.

Lebanon Valley College is recognizing its high-achieving first-year students for receiving scholarships from the College. Among the incoming class of 448 students, 63 percent rank in the top 30 percent of their high school class; 12 students were valedictorians; 52 percent of students earned a scholarship worth half-tuition; and five students received the full-tuition Allwein Scholarship. Thirty-two Kutztown University upperclassmen are spending their summer making sure incoming freshman get a solid start to their education. Connections, the freshman orientation program at KU, is in full swing for the month of June.

Hundreds of students have enrolled at Lebanon Valley College in anticipation of the upcoming fall semester. The Class of 2018 includes students from 15 states who will begin a challenging and sophisticated course of study with some of the most innovative faculty on campus.

Inquiry 2014 coincided with the Council for Undergraduate Research's week-long celebration of student research and achievement. Lebanon Valley College celebrated the scholarly, scientific, and creative achievements of the student body in a variety of academic activities, including a public research symposium April 10 in the LVC gymnasium.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 47 high achieving students to its Phi Alpha Epsilon honor society on March 30, 2014, as part of Inquiry 2014. Membership is limited to senior students who have achieved a 3.6 GPA, completed 24 credits of LVC coursework, and earned a bronze, silver, or gold community service award.

Lebanon Valley College's 145th Commencement Exercises May 10 graduated 523 students, who received their degrees in the LVC Gymnasium. The 416 graduating seniors were joined by 29 doctor of physical therapy candidates, 78 master's degree candidates, and 31 students who graduated in December 2013 and have now formally received their degrees.

Widener University's Chemistry Club has captured first prize in Chemistry Wars 2014 co-hosted by Temple University and the University of the Sciences. This inaugural competition pitted students from seven area institutions against one another in relay races and challenges that tested their knowledge of chemistry and their ability to work together as a team. More than 1,600 students have been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

A total of 569 Mansfield University students have been named to to fall 2013 Dean's List. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must attend the university full-time and attain at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester.

The Peer Mentor Program begins during orientation and continues throughout the first semester. This program eases the transition of new students to LVC. The primary goals of the program are for new students to succeed socially and academically, to ensure that each new student has an upper-class student from whom they can seek assistance, and to help students become well acquainted with other new students.
